Proven in Real-World Survival Conditions
More than just a warm winter coat, the Women's Iron-Tuff® Coat has proven itself in some of the harshest conditions imaginable. In 2026, Alaska resident Christy Rutter wore a Women's Iron-Tuff® Coat and Women's Iron-Tuff® Bib Overalls during a catastrophic snowmobile accident that left her stranded on a frozen Alaska river for more than three hours in below-zero temperatures. While awaiting helicopter rescue, the coat's insulated construction helped protect her from dangerous cold exposure and wind. "I had that coat buttoned up to my neck," Rutter said. "There was no cold air getting in." Built for temperatures down to -50°F and trusted by workers and outdoor enthusiasts alike, the Women's Iron-Tuff® Coat is designed to provide reliable protection when conditions turn severe.
Warm. Tough. Iconic. The Iron-Tuff® Collection has been proven in extreme cold for more than 70 years. From helping workers build the Trans-Alaska Pipeline to protecting cold-storage crews, ranchers, utility workers and outdoor professionals, Iron-Tuff® has earned its reputation where warmth isn't optional. In 2026, that legacy continued when Alaska resident Christy Rutter credited her Women's Iron-Tuff® Coat with helping protect her during a life-threatening snowmobile accident on a frozen river. Extreme durability. Legendary warmth. It's the original way to Master the Cold®.
