RefrigiWear Introduces WeatherGuard Five Layer Insulated Bags

The WeatherGuard 153UB utility bag and the WeatherGuard 153ICB ice cream bag feature a new five layer design for added protection against shrinkage and spoilage. The customizable bags are ideal for protecting perishables when every degree counts.

The Five Layer Insulated bags reduce shrinkage and spoilage by maintaining original product temperatures with a gain or loss of less than one degree Fahrenheit per hour. The one degree temperature consistency afforded by the insulated bags assists customers in maintaining FDA HACCP compliance.  

The bags are constructed with a 200 denier nylon exterior and interior, 7.5 ounce insulation, one-half inch high density foam and 16 ounce laminated vinyl. Additionally, two layers of air pockets help minimize temperature change. The bags are easy to carry, wipe clean and are machine washable. The bags, designed for years of use, are constructed with sturdy bound seems and double-needle stitching.   All bags are wind-tight , water-repellent , stain resistant and mildew proof. High density foam adds stiffness, structure and stability to the bags.

The WeatherGuard Five Layer Insulated Bag/153ICB offers all the same great features as the WeatherGuard 153UB but is specially designed for transporting three-gallon tubs commonly used in the ice cream industry. The 153ICB is available in three standard sizes to fit two, four and six three-gallon tubs.

WeatherGuard insulated bags are only a piece of the WeatherGuard Thermal Cover System line. The WeatherGuard system also includes insulated pallet covers and blankets available in either Heavy-Duty or Light-Duty construction. The Heavy-Duty line offers maximum product protection with 11.25 ounces of polyester fiberfill insulation and is surrounded by an outer layer of tear-resistant Iron Tuff nylon and an inner layer of 200 denier rayon. The Light-Duty line is made with 7.5 ounce polyester fiberfill insulation between two layers of 200 denier nylon.

RefrigiWear will work with customers to design custom products and determine proper size, shape, insulation and special features.   All products in the WeatherGuard Thermal Cover System can be embroidered with company names, logos and ID numbers for a permanent property mark.   Embroidery is available in block and script styles in a range of colors.
